During an interview with IGN, he said that Exoprimal is a new universe and that the company has no plans to continue or remake Dino Crisis.

But this is just a coincidence or a tribute to this character in the new game. In addition, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer of Dino Crisis, was actively involved in the Exoprimal development. While Dino Crisis was a survival horror game, Exoprimal provides a more dynamic multiplayer third-person shooter. The new format would have outraged veterans, and new players would not have been able to understand the atmosphere of the early 2000s series of games.
