Even though My Hero Ultra Rumble has just begun its journey in the battle royales world, it received positive feedback from both fans of the anime and those unfamiliar with its universe. The game offers dynamic team gameplay, unique characters whose abilities grow as events develop in the match, and passive activities such as interaction with NPCs. But as you play on your platform, you may sooner or later ask yourself if the My Hero Ultra Rumble supports cross-platform and crossplay. We have the answers.
My Hero Ultra Rumble: Cross Platform & Crossplay Explained
(Updated on August 28, 2024 – updated links and format)
First, it’s worth briefly answering the first question, and yes, My Hero Ultra Rumble is a cross-platform game. Since its release, the game has been available on several platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. All game functions on all platforms are identical, meeting the definition of cross-platform.
As for crossplay, things are not so rosy. After all, despite all the elaborate gameplay and perfect release, My Hero Ultra Rumble does not have crossplay. When playing on PC, you can not play in the same team or against your friend with PlayStation. In addition, this applies to all platforms, so playing between Xbox and PlayStation is also impossible.
This shortcoming is a little disappointing because, soon after release, it can lead to some negative consequences. Over time, the My Hero Ultra Rumble popularity will decrease, and matchmaking on any platform may take much longer. Crossplay could solve this problem, but for now, this is nothing more than the dreams of the gaming community. On the other hand, unlike the much more popular Fortnite, the number of players in the My Hero Ultra Rumble match is only 24 instead of the usual hundred. So selecting a team requires fewer applicants.
