Riding horses, slicing bandits, and picking pockets aren’t the only things you can do in KCD 2. Since there are many options you can pick to mold your ideal Henry, romance is also one of them in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While some of them are just a fling, a few others are more elaborate and require a few requirements to trigger. Here, we’ve compiled a list of all the romance options we’ve found so far.
How Does Romance Work in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
Alright, first things first. Romance in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t like the options we’re used to seeing in other RPGs in the sense that Henry doesn’t get married, or gets a house with someone, or something like that. Instead, most of these scenarios seem to be more intimate sequences with different characters, but knowing who is canon is still up in the air. From what I saw, it seems Henry still favors everyone’s favorite, Theresa. But that doesn’t mean our blacksmith’s boy can’t have some fun in Bohemia.
While there are many dialog options that will lead to romance in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll only trigger a scene or an event if you select the option with the heart icon, as you can see in the above image. Other options will only provide some conversation, but from my experience, picking the icon option is the only thing that leads to a romantic or sexual scene. With that out of the way, let’s see who are those fighting for Henry’s heart.
All Romance Options in KCD 2
Before we delve into the Bohemian hotties, here’s a big spoiler warning. I’ll try not to spoil many things, but since some options seem to trigger after picking certain choices in the story, some light to heavy spoilers will appear. You’ve been warned.
Myshka (Wedding Crashers Quest)
I’m unsure if I should call this an actual romance option in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but since romance is subjective to Henry, I say, why not? During the Wedding Crashers quest, Henry can woo Myshka and dance with her. I didn’t see or get an option to do anything else with her, but if you’re looking for a wholesome and well-animated dance during the wedding, select the following options:
- Myshka doesn’t care about poems.
- Nice place.
- I’ve been bothering you, too.
- Thanks, I’m really trying.
Klara
During Trosky’s main quest, you’ll meet Klara, a lady who’ll want some help picking flowers. However, that’s not everything Henry will be doing with her. While Hans is talking with the lords of the Fortress, you can help Klara gather some plants. Once you’re inside the forest, do not mention anything regarding how suspicious the Fortress’ Lord is. Instead, solve her riddle by answering, “I think she’s called Klara,” and a scene will occur.
There is another option to romance her again once you return to the fortress and cure the wounded. If you successfully cure all three, she’ll share a bed with you that night, granting you an excellent combat bonus for the next day.
Hans Capon
There seem to be two romance options or rather opportunities for Hans in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The first one occurs right after you save him in “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” You need to select the heart option during the conversation.
The second and most important one, however, occurs during the “Hunger and Despair” quest, which is almost at the end of the game. Here, you need to talk to Hans in his room and select the following options:
- Why are you telling me this now?
- We have a lot in common with them.
- (Kiss him).
One thing I have not confirmed is if this scene only triggers once you activate all previous romance flags. But in any case, the above options are the ones that will lead to a romantic scene with Lord Hans Capon.
Rosa Ruthard
One of the longest romance options to pursue in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Rosa Ruthard. I say “longest” because, from my experience, you need to complete a few quests to increase your reputation with her and save her during the “Dancing with the Devil” quest. After that, you can pursue the romance’s ending during the “Oratores” quest. After beating the enemies in the aforementioned mission, select the following options:
- It’ll be alright.
- Allies are our most valuable asset.
- I won’t let you go away.
- (Kiss Rosa).
Katherine
Out of all the romance options in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Katherine seems to be the more “canon” one, and I’ll explain why below. First, I have yet to confirm this, but it seems that this option only triggers if you do all quests for Katherine, that is, the murder mystery one in Kuttenberg, and help her catch her stalker inside Sigismund’s camp. After that, the romance triggers during the “Hunger and Despair” quest, but it seems this only happens if you ignore Hans’ romance and head toward the wall. Here, Katherine will approach you. Without spoiling Katherine’s story, you must pick the choices that show Henry cares for her, and you’ll unlock a steamy scene on top of the castle’s walls.
The reason why I mentioned Katherine feels like the canon option is because, during the game’s final sequence, Henry gets an option to mention Katherine as his significant other in the future, contrary to other characters. However, I didn’t experience all romantic sequences, so this could change in another playthrough.
For now, these are the only romance options I’ve seen in KCD 2. However, with the reactivity and replayability of the game, there might be a few more, without counting the bathhouse ladies ready to “help” Henry after a fight.
