Reaching the 30-year milestone is quite the achievement for any video game. However, only a few can become part of the three-decade club, and one of those is the legendary MMO, World of Warcraft, which just shadow-dropped a new HD collection today. While most of the announcements of this incredibly popular game were well-received, the one that made everyone jump out of their seats and scream as loud as Tyrion on top of the Icecrown Citadel was the teaser of World of Warcraft finally getting a housing system in the next expansion, Midnight.
While it is only a short teaser, World of Warcraft has confirmed housing for its next expansion, Midnight. As someone who’s played the MMO for years, this is one feature I’ve always asked for. And before you shame me for being a roleplayer, yes, I want the feature precisely to have a place my RP characters can finally call home. See, I don’t mind using the same empty building in Stormwind, but there’s always a queue for those in Moonguard, so you can understand the excitement.
Furthermore, the Garrison system in Warlords of Draenor was a bit lackluster in terms of customization. Yes, the gameplay part might’ve been great at first, but it felt flat and was ultimately abandoned. But now, there’s a light at the end of the Midnight tunnel, which will finally bring housing to World of Warcraft players. It’s still uncertain how it will work or when it will launch. Yet, looking at the teaser, we’re hoping for this feature to be available at launch.
In truth, I’m glad about how World of Warcraft is looking these days. The War Within has been a great expansion, and the roadmap looks juicy. There’s already a lot of content planned for the subsequent months, which will surely bring many adventurers back. In the meantime, there are still many more things to do in Khaz Algar. But if you’re taking a break, remember that the Siren Isle isn’t far away. It will bring new currency, mounts, and a few customization options for some races. So, if you haven’t, now’s the perfect time to revisit Azeroth.
