When Jax Taylor was eliminated from House of Villains, fans thought he’d be upset by the news. But what he learned moments later about his wife, Brittany Cartwright, quickly banished the show from his mind. On the December 21st episode, Jax opened up about what happened next.
Soon After Being Eliminated, Jax Learned His Wife Was Unwell
On the new episode, Jax Taylor told fellow contestants,
“I don’t know if you know, about three minutes after I got eliminated, I got a phone call.”
He recalled someone telling him,
“Here, Jax, take the phone. Your wife’s in the hospital.”
“She’s like, crying on the phone. She’s like, ‘I don’t want you to leave the show, but I just want to let you know I’m in the hospital.’ I’m panicking,” he recalled. “Obviously, the timing … so I raced to Cedars, stayed there for two nights. Making sure my wife doesn’t have cancer, doesn’t have spinal issues, doesn’t have MS. Turns out [that] she had a small stroke. She’s 33.”
Brittany Has Shared Some Insight Into Her Health Scare
Brittany Cartwright appeared on Kristen Dute’s podcast, Sex, Love, and What Else Matters, discussing her stroke.
“All of a sudden, I started getting numbness in my right arm and my right leg, to the point where I couldn’t even hold my cell phone anymore,” she shared. “And it got really scary because it was happening out of nowhere.”
“They didn’t know what was going on with me. They thought that maybe I had early signs of MS, or maybe a small stroke, so I had to have MRIs on my brain and on my spine. And I had to have CAT scans,” Brittany explained.
“Everything, thank God, came back clean, so we still don’t know what’s going on,” she concluded. “But I haven’t had the numbness since that day, or anything.”
A fan commented on a recent Instagram post from Jax asking for an update on Brittany’s health. He assured that Brittany “is fine” following the scary moment.
