Jenelle Evans has sparked criticism as she celebrates son Jace turning 16 years old. In a recent Instagram share, the former Teen Mom 2 star honored her firstborn child’s birthday, with the photos showing her and Jace enjoying a fun day out.
Jenelle, who left the MTV franchise in 2019, showed off her figure in a plunging printed sundress, putting on a revealing display as she embraced her motherhood. The reality star was largely supported by fans, but some threw shade. Alongside being told that she’s got no real “career” at the age of 34, Jenelle wound up with a “worst mother” label. Both remarks gained likes. Jenelle is currently in the news as she celebrates her divorce from ex-husband David Eason. The divorce was finalized in July. Jenelle is a mother of three and shares daughter Ensley with David.

All smiles as she snapped a selfie with Jace, Jenelle flaunted her healthy-looking curves in a stylish, summery sundress in pink and white. Rocking floral prints and a cut-out below the bust, the brunette teased her curves while wearing her hair down, adding a pair of shades.
Meanwhile, Jace wore an Armani Exchange t-shirt and shades as he grinned for the camera. Jenelle, who regularly includes family updates on her social media, had taken her son out for a helicopter ride, with another slide showing a can of Coca-Cola being held out, plus the helicopter in the backdrop. Fans also got footage from the aircraft, plus a mirror selfie of Jenelle and Jace. Here, Jenelle showed off her cute maxi dress as she and Jace posed from a hallway space.
In a caption, Jenelle wrote: “To the young man that made me a mother #HappyBirthday Jace, 16 years young! You’re the most ambitious and caring boy I know. Seeing you get through trials and tribulations of life and still come out on top makes me so proud!”
Landing Herself That ‘Worst Mother’ Label
Jenelle Evans was sent countless wishes for Jace’s special day, but others were in the mood to challenge her. “You’re 34 with no career yet” was a comment gaining over 20 likes. Jenelle did not ignore the comment. Firing back, she wrote: “My career is my name so thanks for your engagement.”
Elsewhere, a user replied: “Worst ‘mother’ in the franchise.” The user did not give a reason for their statement. Jenelle began starring on Teen Mom 2 back in 2011, following a 2010 appearance on 16 & Pregnant. In 2019, she and ex-husband David were fired from the franchise after David shot the family dog, Nugget. Jenelle went on to found her new-defunct JE Cosmetics brand, alongside dabbling in podcasting.
