Superstar Jennifer Lopez and Oscar winner Ben Affleck just got engaged! After two decades apart, one of the hottest couples of the early 2000s has found their way back to each other. Gigli stans can rejoice as, for the second time in the history of Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are back together and getting married!
In an article with People magazine, Jennifer Lopez shared how her and Ben Affleck’s relationship and connection are much different now than 18 years ago.
“We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things.”
Two Decades Apart
In between their span of time apart, the two moved on, got married, and had children. Jennifer Lopez married musician Marc Anthony and shares 14-year-old twins Emme and Max. Ben Affleck also got married to 13 Going on 30 actress Jennifer Garner and shares three children with her; Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. Even after two decades apart, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck both divorced their spouses years ago.
Over this time, Ben and JLo both dated other people on and off after their divorces. For a time, JLo was even engaged to former MLB player Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod), but they split after four years together after issuing a statement saying they were “better as friends.” After so many years, different directions, and life changes, as luck would have it, Lopez and Affleck finally got the timing right and fell into each other’s arms again. History repeats itself in a more mature loop as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are engaged.

In March, Ben Affleck recently showed public support for his soon-to-be wife at the iHeart Radio Music Awards. He cheered JLo on with his son Samuel and her daughter Emme as Jennifer Lopez accepted the Icon Award.
