Jessica Biel is now the target of fans’ anger after her husband Justin Timberlake canceled his show at the last minute. The singer was set to make the final US stop on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour on Thursday. Unfortunately, expectant fans were disappointed when Timberlake shut it down just 15 minutes before the concert.
The Suit & Tie singer informed concertgoers of his Columbus Show that he was down with the flu via a statement. “You guys, I’m heartbroken; I have to cancel the show tonight,” the 10-time Grammy winner wrote. “I went into soundcheck battling the flu, and now it’s gotten the best of me. It kills me to disappoint you and my team, who worked so hard to make this show happen.” He promised a refund for disappointed fans before declaring, “I love y’all.”
Unfortunately, Timberlake’s excuse didn’t sit well with aggrieved fans, who were particularly offended that he waited until the eleventh hour to cancel. The situation was made even worse because the Columbus show was initially postponed. It was set to take place last fall. However, the Friends With Benefits actor rescheduled it, alongside five other shows, citing a case of bronchitis and laryngitis.
Fans’ patience had run out this time, and they wasted no time blasting Timberlake.
“Canceling bc of being sick is 100% understandable…Canceling 10 minutes before the doors were to open is unacceptable,” one pained attendee slammed.
“What a moron. 12 whole minutes? Totally unprofessional and inexcusable. Did he get too drunk? He’ll be getting divorced soon,” another wrote.
Fans Question Jessica Biel About Justin Timberlake’s Cancellation
As fans continue to ask questions about Timberlake’s sudden cancellation, attention was drawn to his wife Biel’s post. Hours before calling off the performance, the actress dedicated an Instagram upload to mark the end of the US Leg. Alongside a reel of her being her husband’s biggest cheerleader, Biel sang Timberlake’s praises, writing:
“There’s truly nothing this man can’t do. It’s been so special to watch you, listen to you, and be alongside you for this tour.”
Biel concluded, encouraging the 44-year-old to give his final show all that he has got while gushing about how proud she is. Unfortunately, Timberlake couldn’t deliver.
With the timing of the 7th Heaven actress’s post, fans suspect she might have been aware her husband would cancel his concert. They have since flooded the comment section with angry remarks.
“His wife didn’t know he was sick? Or about to cancel that show?” questioned one user.
“These two are so deluded. He is not the superstar he thinks he is. I think he should hang it up,” advised another.
Justin Timberlake’s reputation hasn’t been the best since his infamous June 2024 DWI arrest. Now, it seems Biel is sharing in some of the repercussions.
