The divorce rumors plaguing Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson aren’t stopping, and the actress is doing little to dispel them. For months, fans have speculated that the couple has come to the end of the road after 10 years of marriage. While neither party has officially addressed the rumors, Simpson keeps making moves like a single woman.
Such was the case on Monday when the fashion designer was photographed at LAX with a friend. Simpson seemed so thrilled to be in the company of a female pal that she stopped in the middle of the airport to take a playful selfie.
As expected, the Dukes of Hazzard star showed off with her fashion. She was dressed to the nines for the airport trip in a black leather coat with fur paired with multi-colored pants and black platform boots. Her blonde hair was styled in loose waves, and she accessorized with several stacked jewelry pieces and sunglasses. Noticeably missing from the stack was her wedding ring. While looking at the picture, Simpson is seen without the symbol of matrimonial bliss even though her fingers were adorned with numerous rings. Although the Irresistible singer looked unbothered by the lack of a wedding ring, fans online weren’t.
“If you have something to say, say it to their face, don’t put it out here for strangers to read. How immature. She’s obviously seeking attention,” one fan slammed.
“Those shoes are awful! I don’t blame him for leaving, turns out she was a mess and despite claiming to be sober,” a second fan alleged.
Jessica Simpson Already Moving On From Eric Johnson?
Simpson first sparked split speculations when eagle-eyed fans noticed she stopped posting her former NFL player husband since April. However, things intensified when she skipped her usual birthday tribute to Johnson. On September 15, the San Francisco 49ers alum turned 45. Rather than give a shoutout to her husband, the 44-year-old posted a cryptic message about forgiveness. She uploaded a clip of Pastor Timothy Timberlake delivering a speech. “Forgiveness doesn’t change the person who hurt you. Are you listening to me? Forgiveness doesn’t change that person. Forgiveness changes you,” he said.
To make things worse, curious fans online noticed Simpson has been featuring a lot of The White Stripes’ lead singer, Jack White on her Instagram page. She often shares videos set to his music and quotes his lyrics as captions. While some think it hints at an upcoming music collaboration for the duo, others are convinced something deeper is at stake. “Hmm… I smell a Jessica and Jack love affair for some reason,” one fan predicted. Of course, there is no truth to these rumors as of now, but fans keep looking to the signs for answers.
