Jessica Simpson has sparked comments about her weight as new photos show her out and about. The singer and actress, 45, stepped out in New York City last week, showing off a daring eveningwear look as she went leggy in a short dress.
Displaying her muscular frame in the wake of her 2019 weight loss, Jessica reminded the paparazzi of her enviable physique, although for some, the Dukes of Hazzard star was looking a little thin. Shortly before the pandemic, Jessica made headlines for shedding 100 pounds, doing so after approaching 300 pounds while expecting third baby Birdie Mae. While one fan called Jessica “unhealthy” as Backgrid shared Instagram photos of her, another warned fans to stop giving the blonde a hard time. Jessica was, elsewhere, mocked for her fashion choice and even likened to a man by some trolls.

Opting for a racy shade of red with splashes of yellow and glittery silver from a star-like print, Jessica went thigh-skimming in a short dress with a flattering, sleeveless finish.
Flashing her toned shoulders and arms, the mom of three also highlighted her slim waist, and with that hemline, she was showing she’s been putting in the effort on leg day. Jessica kept chic in metallic gold heels to match her purse, completing her glam look with her blonde hair worn down and straight. Jessica also sported plenty of makeup, showing her youthful-looking skin as she wore a rosy pink lip. The clothing designer also donned large hoop earrings and a necklace, plus bangles, rings, and a long manicure.
Looking ‘Gaunt’ After Dropping 100 Pounds?
Users quickly commented on the Backgrid photos. One said that she was looking “gaunt,” with another trolling her as they pretty much called her a guy.
“She looks UNHEALTHY!” a further user stated. Backing Jessica up, one fan said: “I mean she’s a lot older after being out of the spotlight for a while and gained and lost weight a lot. She looks odd but still good.”
