Justin Bieber is raising eyebrows with his latest social media activity. The singer’s fans couldn’t help but notice that he has officially unfollowed his former mentor, Usher, and several other of his former friends on Instagram. This move comes as Bieber is rumored to be struggling financially. He’s reportedly considering filing lawsuits against his former business managers for mishandling his money. In addition, his name has also been mentioned in the Sean “Diddy” Combs scandal, leaving fans wondering what’s really going on.
According to The U.S. Sun, Justin Bieber recently unfollowed Usher on Instagram. The move surprised many, as Usher has been a close friend to the former teen heartthrob for several years. The duo have collaborated on songs, and Usher is often credited for helping kickstart Bieber’s music career.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Justin has snubbed Usher. The singer opted not to take the stage with the R&B star during the 2024 Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. It was later revealed that Bieber declined the invitation to appear at the highly publicized event. However, after brushing off Usher’s invite, he did pay homage to him on social media, captioning the tribute, “LOVE YOU MY BROTHER.”
Justin Bieber Unfollows Usher And Other Close Friends As Fans Worry
However, it seems that Justin went on an unfollowing spree. In addition to cutting Usher out of his digital life, he unfollowed his former longtime manager, Scooter Braun. Bieber and Braun were once extremely close. However, they went their separate ways in 2022. Braun has since retired from music management.
However, Bieber didn’t stop there. He also unfollowed former manager Allison Kaye and his ex-bodyguard Kenny Hamilton. Of course, one of his most surprising unfollows is Ryan Good. Justin and Ryan have been friends since 2009. Ryan was previously considered Bieber’s “swag coach.” He also served as best man at Justin’s wedding to his wife, Hailey Bieber.
Justin Bieber fans are now trying to figure out what his recent Instagram unfollowing means. Many believe it’s all part of the singer’s healing journey, especially since he recently welcomed his first child, Jack Blues Bieber. Others believe it could be due to the scandal and rumors surrounding him over the past year.
“Maybe someone got a visit from the FBI,” one person wrote via Reddit, seemingly referencing the Diddy scandal.
“Justin needs to do whatever is best for his mental health and for the well-being of his family,” another stated.
“Maybe he wants to distance himself from people in his past who treated him poorly,” said one fan.
“This is really interesting. I wonder when it’s all going to be revealed what’s going on,” a fourth comment read.
It’s unclear why Justin Bieber has decided to cut some of his former friends out of his life, at least on social media. Meanwhile, he continues to stay quiet about all of the speculation enveloping him now.
