Kanye West and Gigi Hadid’s media drama isn’t over just yet! The rap mogul took a jab at the model once again, addressing her comments on a post criticizing him tagging the late designer Virgil Abloh as his best friend. The supermodel, who has openly declared her admiration for the late designer could not take it sitting down after seeing his disparaging comments.
Hence, when he referred to Abloh as his best friend, she ultimately sought an avenue to let out her frustrations. Denim Tears founder Tremaine Emory provided the right outlet at the nick of time, sharing a lengthy post criticizing the Yeezy frontman for using Virgil’s name in his rants. The post also condemned Kanye for referring to Virgil as his best friend in one of his posts.
Several celebrities, including Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, liked the post, ultimately frowning upon Kanye’s comment. However, Hadid went all out, condemning the rap mogul by commenting,
“Finally…! Thank you! Even people who knew him for a percentage of the time knew Kanye did not treat V like a friend. ++ V LOVED GKJ. He’s watching!”
Kanye West Claps Back At Gigi Hadid
Days after Gigi Hadid’s criticizing comment, Kanye West took to Instagram to slam the supermodel, referring to her as a privileged Karen. Sharing a screenshot of a series of comments on Tremaine’s post, with hers highlighted, the rap mogul wrote:
“I’M NOT FINNA GET RAN OVER BY HOLLYWOOD AGAIN GIGI. YOU ARE A PRIVILEGED KAREN. YOU WERE BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON IN YOUR MOUTH. YOU’RE A ZOMBIE. YOU SPEAK UP HERE BUT DIDN’T SPEAK UP WHEN MY CHILD WAS KIDNAPPED ON HER BIRTHDAY.”
Kanye’s post about his daughter’s kidnapping referenced his earlier allegations that his ex-wife Kim Kardashian kidnapped his daughter, Chicago West on her birthday. According to him, Kim’s family did so intentionally so his daughter would always remember him not being present on her fourth birthday.

Meanwhile, his back-and-forth drama with supermodel Gigi Hadid geared off after his controversial decision to feature a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt design in the YZY SZN 9 presentation at the Paris fashion week. At the time, Kanye attacked designer Gabriella Karefa-Johnson on social media after she criticized his Paris show.
Gigi quickly stepped forward in Karefa-Johnson’s defense, referring to Kanye as a bully and a joke. The rapper fired back at Gigi Hadid’s comment on Wednesday, taking to Instagram to probe the model about her thoughts about him not knowing where his daughter was on her birthday.
His response prompted his former sister-in-low Khloe Kardashian to beg him to stop tearing down Kim Kardashian. It appears her pleas only fell on deaf ears, or by the looks, aggravated him further. Hopefully, Kanye West and Gigi Hadid would find common ground soon enough, without their differences escalating into a full-blown feud.
