Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are undoubtedly two of the best singers in the music industry. However, their love for music isn’t the only thing they have in common, as they are both American Idol winners. Clarkson took the crown in the show’s inaugural season, while Underwood secured victory three seasons later. Due to their history with the famed singing competition, Clarkson and Underwood comparisons have been going on for years. Recently, Clarkson addressed the comparisons, noting that she disliked them.
Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood Comparisons Addressed
Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are greatly talented, but the comparisons between the two seem unending. Now, Clarkson has had enough of it and recently let the public know. During Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the 41-year-old opened up about the Clarkson and Underwood comparisons. The television personality noted that people always pit her against her fellow American Idol alum. However, Clarkson said they didn’t even know each other that well.
Clarkson further stated that she and Underwood had only run into each other a few times, and there was no beef between them. Clarkson and Underwood may not be close, but during the pandemic, the latter had a virtual appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Kelly Clarkson Shuts Down Feud Rumors
The recent conversation is not the first time the icon has addressed Clarkson and Underwood comparisons and feud rumors. In 2019, the Because of You crooner shut down speculation when she accused Star Magazine of lying about their relationship dynamic. At the time, Clarkson shared her thoughts in a write-up on Twitter, alongside the photo of the magazine’s front page with the words “Carrie and Kelly Secret Feud Explodes!” written boldly on it. As expected, the singer received much support from fans who believed she handled the situation very well.

Whatever, girl, I voted for you! 😘
But seriously, I do wish more publications would just celebrate women’s success without pitting them against each other…
Just my thoughts…anyway…
Love ya’! Hope you’re well! https://t.co/aOaqjlfDry— Carrie Underwood (@carrieunderwood) April 7, 2018
