A Kentucky FedEx worker was trying to deliver packages to a neighborhood but quickly found that wasn’t about to happen. He was stopped by a man in a pickup truck who didn’t allow him to drive through the public area to access the houses he needed to. And, as far as he’s concerned, it all happened due to racism.
TikToker @youloveeanya shared a video of a FedEx worker (her brother) attempting to deliver packages to a neighborhood in Kentucky. In the video, you can see a black driver stopped in his FedEx truck because he can’t continue on down the road. Why? A white man is parked entirely across the road in his pickup truck, blocking him from passing through.
The FedEx employee says in shock, “He’s got the street blocked. I don’t know who he thinks he is. Look at this.” He pans his camera around, showing the man in the truck and his partner, who is standing nearby. The man has his pickup truck running but it’s very clear that he isn’t about to move.
The FedEx driver continues inching forward in his truck, hoping that the man will move so he can just deliver his packages. Instead, the man looks him dead in the eyes and flips him off. He then turns back to looking forward, clearly not intending on moving out of the way.
The video cuts off then, so it’s unknown if the driver moved his pickup truck and allowed the driver through or not. But commenters had a lot to say as they reacted to the video and its blatant racism. One commenter suggested, “Call your supervisor! And have them call the cops for you! I wouldn’t deliver [expletive] else to that whole neighborhood. Buddy just messed it up for everybody!!” Another commenter stated, “That’s entrapment.”
Other commenters suggested that future deliveries should be banned from this household due to their actions. According to the suggestion of one commenter: “Delivery carriers should have it where, if there’s a problem with the home owners, no more packages are to be delivered there.” Commenters continue to share their opinions and discussions regarding racism and how it should be handled.
