Having a routine is important, but one Washington resident’s routine is a little less than respectable, if not inconsiderate to both the environment and one homeowner in particular. The homeowner in question goes by Introvertedandupset on Reddit and posted to r/mildlyinfuriating, complaining that a “jerk tosses his empty protein drink carton into my driveway” every morning. This is indeed infuriating, if not illegal, though there’s no clear reason why this driver does this to their neighbor every day.
“Just need to get is plate number so you can report them. If they do it everyday it’s harassment,” suggested a commenter. “I am doing a stakeout tomorrow. It’s just so damn early (545 am) but I’m sick of it,” Introvertedandupset sighed in response. They acknowledged that their camera’s quality isn’t ideal for catching the culprit’s license plates, but they plan to eventually catch them in the act to file a police report.
Other people claimed it should be simple if this neighbor is predictable about when they litter on OP’s driveway. However, what people couldn’t understand was why this driver was throwing trash into Introvertedandupset’s driveway specifically. Some assumed it was a targeted attack, given that the driver allegedly does this every morning. That’s when one commenter asked a telling question: “Do you have any political signs or flags on display? This person may disagree with you.”
Reddit Believes OP’s Pride Flag Is What’s Fueling This Driver’s Aggressive Littering
Introvertedandupset replied, saying they put up Pride flags every June, which doesn’t explain the driver’s actions, but many Redditors were sure this had to be a factor. “Most likely someone who hates rainbows,” remarked a user. “Likely colorblind and resentful,” agreed another. “You should put up a sign that’s just a picture of Texas colored blue,” joked a third.
Again, these allegations that the neighbor’s littering on OP’s pride flag have yet to be proven, though the act of littering itself is very much illegal. That said, Introvertedandupset has yet to update their Reddit post about whether police got involved or if the driver was eventually confronted. One thing is certain, though: this guy is committed to getting his protein gains every day without fail.
