KFC in Japan will begin offering Pokemon themed merchandise starting on March 17th. Beginning on that day “straw figurines” will be available for those customers that order any drink for an additional 190 yen each. Customers will receive either Froakie, Chespin, Fennekin, Sylveon, Pikachu, or Pancham at random. Those wanting all of the figurines will be able to purchase a “Complete Pack” for 2,500 yen that features all straw figurines, plus a display stand, six free drink coupons, and an original tote bag.

In addition to the straw figurines, KFC will have two special game kits on March 17. These kits are made from cardboard and will be assembled become a game where one can “catch” different Pokemon by throwing a Poké Ball at them. There are 16 character cards along with either a street scene or forest environment included in each pack.

Then on April 21, which coincides with the annual Golden Week holiday period, KFC Japan locations will begin offering a Pokemon themed bucket featuring four pieces of the Colonel’s crispy fried chicken, fries and some Crispy Strips. Included with the bucket will be a limited-edition placemat featuring Pikachu. This  will cost customers 1,890 yen.

These items are limited edition, so they are sure to sell out quickly. Those Pokemon fans lucky enough to live in Japan should grab them as soon as they can get to a KFC.
