Venture into the dark side of Arthurian mythology in this upcoming tactical turn-based RPG from NeocoreGames. King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, after surpassing its Kickstarter goal, is coming to Steam Early Access on January 12, 2021.

A Knight’s Turn-Based Quest

By taking cues from dark fantasy tropes, King Arthur: Knight’s Tale aims to retell the legend. You play as Sir Mordred, the nemesis of King Arthur himself. In the same fashion, the island of Avalon is the land where Mordred must tread and explore. He must assemble his own Knights of the Round Table and utilize them to the highest advantage to defeat the untamed supernatural.

King Arthur: Knight's Tale big enemy

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale follows a traditional character progression for its characters and Mordred. With over 30 different heroes from five distinct classes to select from, you can upgrade your Knights to your own accord. They all have their own personalities and skill trees, as well as loyalty spectrums that can alter based on your actions. In short, it’s best to make the most cautious Moral decisions in the game if you don’t want one of your Knights turning on you.

While using the Adventure Map, you’ll get to observe all territories in your journey to re-establish Camelot. Expanding your Stronghold will unlock additional upgrades for you and your Knights. Having the Adventure Map as an essential aspect is critical to reaching the endgame: the ultimate fight against Balor, the one-eyed leader of the Fomorians.

An official release is windowed for the first quarter of 2021. Additionally, the title will come to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 later down the road.
