It’s no secret that King Charles can be a picky and sometimes feisty monarch, especially when things don’t go his way. From losing his temper over a leaky pen to throwing tantrums when his undergarments weren’t properly folded, the King can sometimes be rather excessive with his behavior. Likewise, Charles is rebelling against a new rule set by none other than his wife, Queen Camilla — eating lunch daily.
Calling the midday meal a “luxury,” King Charles intentionally skipped lunch entirely over the years due to not having the time, as his numerous royal duties replaced said mealtime. Of course, mostly everyone has time to sit down and eat properly, even kings and queens; they just need to set a time for it. That said, Queen Camilla, together with the King’s aides and doctors, has forced the “reluctant” monarch to sit down and eat his lunch.
However, King Charles still refuses to eat a full meal and instead opts for “half an avocado,” something that many would consider barely even a snack. Nevertheless, something is better than nothing, and it does “sustain him through the day,” according to a source at Daily Mail.
“With some reluctance, he now has something to eat at lunchtime – a snack, really. He now eats half an avocado to sustain him through the day. It’s important, particularly if you have got an illness.”

King Charles is currently recovering from cancer alongside the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, so eating properly should be an essential habit the monarch should practice. Prince William’s wife is said to be as “beautiful as ever,” whereas King Charles’ cancer, along with the pressure and stress from his royal duties, is wearing him down to a “stick of rock.”
