In a surprise reveal, Square Enix released the first teaser trailer for Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link. This will be a mobile title with GPS Action RPG mechanics. While it sounds like a mouthful, the trailer showcases some things we can expect when the game officially launches or for anyone who gets access to the beta. Right now, only players in the UK and Australia can apply for the closed beta. So, if you’re in any of these places, prepare to meet some familiar characters and pick up that rusty Keyblade.
Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link Showcases GPS Action RPG Features in New Trailer
According to the trailer and the official site, this will be a mobile GPS Action RPG title. It might be a bit weird, but the trailer shows some features and how they might work. The one phrase that stands out is “Travel the world without stepping outside,” meaning this might not be the same as Pokemon GO or other games that use GPS.
On the Action RPG side, the trailer shows the character fighting in real-time and using Disney and Kingdom Hearts characters as a form of power-ups. Some seem to have a different rarity than others, but it’s still uncertain how players will get them.
As mentioned, the closed-beta registrations are up now, and you can head to the game’s official website to fill out the form, provided you live in the UK and Australia. This test period will run from November 29 to December 8. You have until November 19 to register.
While we all would’ve loved to see news regarding Kingdom Hearts 4, we’ll have to settle for this, not in a bad way. Kingdom Hearts content is always great, and if we don’t have to leave the house to play with others, what could be better? Hopefully, we’ll get a test period in the Americas soon.
