He earned the accolade for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. Although he’s earned multiple SAG Awards nominations over the years, this marked the first time he’s won. Since it was a big night for Chalamet, fans wondered why his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, wasn’t at the ceremony. She’s yet to publicly acknowledge her absence. However, there’s one possible reason she may have skipped.
Why Didn’t Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Attend the 2025 SAG Awards Together?
Shortly before the show took place in Los Angeles, reports came out that Kylie Jenner’s hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero, had died.
Guerrero’s family shared the devastating news in a series of Instagram Stories. They said they have been in “tears” thinking about what they “could of done different to still have [Guerrero] with us.” Although they’ve been suffering from experiencing such a tragic loss, they’ve found comfort in receiving so much “love and support” from everyone during this difficult time. “Jesus was the brightest light, we have never doubted that he touched the hearts and lives of everyone he came across,” the family wrote.
They asked people to send them any photos or videos they had of Guerrero so they could continue honoring his memory. The family didn’t reveal the cause of Guerrero’s death. However, his younger sister, Gris, wrote on GoFundMe that the hairstylist passed “very suddenly and unexpectedly.”
Kylie Jenner had worked with Guerrero for many years. While she hasn’t publicly commented on his death, she’s likely chosen to grieve her friend in private. It may even be why she skipped the 2025 SAG Awards. After all, fans were convinced she would be at the ceremony to support Chalamet.
Becoming Inseparable
After initially keeping their romance lowkey, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have been getting more comfortable with being seen together in public. In recent weeks, Jenner has been accompanying Chalamet to various events in support of his latest film, A Complete Unknown.
For example, Jenner was Chalamet’s plus-one at the 2025 Golden Globes in January. This month, the pair only continued their joint appearances. They attended both the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Berlin Film Festival together. Just last week, they also made headlines by debuting matching rings at the 2025 BAFTAs.
Fans were excited to see Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet together at the 2025 SAG Awards. To their surprise, Chalamet attended the ceremony with his mother, Nicole Flender. Since Jenner and Chalamet have been inseparable lately, fans thought the Kylie Cosmetics star was “forced” to stay behind for personal reasons.
