Riot Games has been seriously hard at work putting in events for League of Legends. Each one lately has done a lot to freshen the game up while adding new skins to collect that look beautiful. More recently, the team introduced the Infernal skins for Karthus, Vel’Koz, and Kennen which all look great. Today though, the team is taking a more fantasy-style approach to an event with the Spirit Blossom event for League of Legends. The event brings along six new skins (with four more to come) and different quests to do for event tokens and special rewards. The biggest of all though is Lillia, bringing along fantasy-esque abilities and a lot of options for jungle players. To go with the event, the team showcased a new trailer.

The Spirit Blossom event takes on a visual novel style approach, having you speak to the different Spirit Blossom characters directly. Initially, they’re reluctant to speak with you and run away rather than interact. If you complete their various quests though, they slowly open up more to you and give you special rewards. You can get event tokens, a champion shard, the character’s icon, and the character’s emote for completing their quest. You can do them all at the same time too, possibly knocking out several birds with one stone.

These tokens will help you earn specific rewards for your characters, similar to how other events work. You can get event orbs, keys, blue essence, and even the coveted Spirit Blossom Teemo Prestige skin. You’ll have to work hard for the latter though, as he requires a lot of tokens that only the Spirit Blossom pass can grant you. You can pick up the Spirit Blossom pass from the League of Legends store for 1650 RP. You can also pick up the individual champion skins at 1350 RP a piece, with Spirit Blossom Thresh being 1820 RP.

This event looks pretty solid for League of Legends and is a lot different than what you might be used to. Riot Games really put a lot of work into this, and hopefully you think it was worth it. If you decide to work through the event, let us know how your progress is. Are there any skins you’re excited for? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
