After numerous leaks flooded the internet, it seems we already know what the Switch 2 will be like. From its magnetic controllers to its motherboard, nothing remains a secret. Now, a popular and trustworthy leaker named NatetheHate has released a video claiming that Nintendo will reveal its next console on Thursday, January 16th. While many may greet this news with skepticism, it’s worth noting that NatetheHate has been a leaker for a decade, and many of his claims have proven accurate.
The video uploaded by NatetheHate lasted around one and a half hours. If you want to check out the section about the Switch 2, you can skip ahead to the 17:00 mark. After stating the reveal date, Nate mentioned that Nintendo would focus solely on the hardware and not on games or software. He added that the company plans to showcase its software and games near the end of February or possibly in early March. He also predicted that something significant could happen in May, such as a hands-on preview, followed by the device’s official launch in June.
Besides predicting the Switch 2 reveal date, NatetheHate also mentioned that fans would likely get another Mario Kart game to accompany the new console’s release. There could also be a new 3D Mario game that would be released on this new device near the end of the year. He further predicted that an enhanced version of Metroid Prime 4 would be available on the Switch 2.
Many Nintendo fans are excited about the news. After so many leaks spreading online, people can’t wait to hear official updates about the Switch 2. “The time has come AND SO HAVE I,” one Redditor wrote. However, many have also expressed their disappointment after hearing that Nintendo will likely focus only on the hardware. After all, the public has already seen the leaks, so simply revealing the hardware would be underwhelming. Still, many are hoping the reveal will also include the new games set to launch alongside the upcoming device.
