Apple TV+ has released the teaser trailer for Lessons in Chemistry, a series led by Brie Larson (seen below). It is an adaption of the best-selling debut of Bonnie Garmus’s novel of the same name.
Brie Larson executive produces and leads the Apple TV+ series. Set in the 1950s, she plays Elizabeth Zott, a scientist hoping to overcome the patriarchy to have a lab of her own. Suddenly, she is fired from the lab she works and must find a new job. She gets an opportunity to host a TV cooking show. Soon, viewers are learning much more than cooking.
The show will also star Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), Aja Noami King (How to Get Away with Murder), Stephanie Keonig (The Flight Attendant), Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory), Patrick Walker (The Resident), and Thomas Mann (Kong: Skull Island).

Susannah Grant, Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, Natalie Shandy, Louise Shore, and Lee Eisenberg executive produce with the Captain Marvel star. Eisenberg serves as the showrunner. Eisenberg has created shows like Jury Duty, Little America, WeCrashed, and Hello Ladies. He has also worked on Queer as Folk and The Office as an executive producer.
The show was quite an immersive experience, but maybe too immersive. Brie Larson looked back on the production of the upcoming Apple series when she spoke with Harper’s Bazaar. Everything being in the 1950s, she had to “sit there and go, ‘My name is Brie. It is 2022.'” That reminder kept her grounded and the two lives of herself and the character separate.
The leading star has a full plate this year. This fall, she will be in her next Marvel movie, The Marvels. She will also be in another major blockbuster with Fast X.
No concrete date has been set for the Brie Larson Apple series. It is set for this fall.
