Square Enix has announced that Dontnod Entertainment’s time-bending episodic adventure Life is Strange will be receiving a physical release early next year.
“The response to Life is Strange really has blown us away,” said producer Luc Baghadoust. “To be able to share that experience with our fans in a traditional boxed format is something we’re really excited about and the decision to include the extra items for the Limited Edition is a direct response to fan requests.”
The Life is Strange Limited Edition will be available on Xbox One and Playstation 4 starting January 19, 2016, in North America and January 22, 2016, in Europe. The Limited Edition will contain a 32-page artbook that will also include unreleased concept art, the full Life is Strange soundtrack, plus the original score by Jonathan Morali and director’s commentary. For those not interested in a the Limited Edition, a standard edition of the game will also be offered in physical form.
Life is Strange Episode 1 was released on January 30, 2015, to positive reviews. The episodic graphic adventure features the ability to rewind time at any moment. The game received favorable reviews when it was released with reviewers disliking the slang and the lack of lip-synching. Life is Strange had hit a million copies sold by the end of July.
Both the Limited Edition and standard edition of Life is Strange is available for pre-order. The Limited Edition will run you €34.99 in Europe and $39.99 in North America.
