How to Find and Defeat Proxima in Lost Ark
Proxima is a large mutated plant that spawns in the Vernese Forest area of North Vern. The easiest way to reach the area is by using the Balankar Ranger Headquarters Triport and traveling through the tree trunk pathways to the spawn region. Since navigating Vernese Forest can be challenging, the image above shows Proxima’s location and a route you can take to reach it.
Each field boss also spawns at pre-determined times and dates. Every boss raid starts at the same time before cycling every 2-3 days. The image below shows an example of the alarm schedule for the Proxima field boss.
To fight the Proxima field boss, you must also have the required item level to participate in the raid. For Proxima, your item level must be at least 540. If you do not have this item level, your contributions will not count towards the raid, and you will receive no rewards. You can check your item level by accessing your Character Profile.
Once you have met the item level requirement, head to Vernese Forest and wait until the timer reaches zero for the boss to spawn. Since Proxima has over 13 million health points, you’ll want to make sure other players are around to fight. If you do not see other players around, you can try to join a busier channel through the drop-down menu on the top-right corner of your game screen.
Unlike some field bosses, Proxima has several stages where it shields itself and regenerates health. Proxima will heal one percent of its health every couple of seconds while the shield is up. It will also take much less damage during this phase, so save your hard-hitting spells and attacks. Aside from this, the fighting style and mechanics of the boss are similar to what you would find with other field bosses.
