Awakening Skills are powerful end-game skills you can unlock after reaching level 50. However, you will not get these skills right away. Instead, you must complete specific Awakening questlines to get and use the spells. This guide will teach you how to unlock and use Awakening Skills in Lost Ark.

How to Unlock and Use Awakening Skills in Lost Ark

Lost Ark Awakening Questline

Upon reaching level 50 and continuing to progress through the main story and world quests, you will eventually encounter “Ealyn’s Request”. Once you complete it, Beatrice will ask you to return to Trixion to begin the Awakening questline.

The first few quests will task you with returning to regions in East Luterra. After speaking to mages in Leyar Terrace and Croconys Seashore, you’ll need to sail to Wisdom Isle, located south of the East Luterra port. After looking for Enviska’s Traces and returning to Leyar Terrace, you will lastly meet Beatrice in Trixion to conclude the questline and unlock your first Awakening Skill. The skill will appear in your inventory that you can use to unlock the skill. It will appear next to your other eight skills with the default key set to V.

Lost Ark Awakening Skill

To unlock your second Awakening Skill, you will need to continue progressing through the main story, including quests in Rohendel, until you trigger a new Awakening questline. Similar to the first Awakening questline, you will need to travel to areas such as Queen’s Garden, Facility X-301 and Twilight Isle to progress. Eventually, you will need to speak to Allegro on Promise Isle to unlock your second Awakening Skill.

To use your newly acquired Awakening Skills, you will need Chaos Shards. You can purchase them from General Goods merchant NPCs in every major city. The skills will also appear in your list of combat skills. To swap out one Awakening Skill for the other, drag the second skill onto the Awakening square next to your other eight spells.

Lost Ark is available exclusively on PC. For more information regarding the game and future updates, check out the official website.
