I’m a big fan of the Martial Artist class in Lost Ark; more specifically, the female Scrapper Advanced Class. It was the very first class I chose when the game launched in the States. Now, two years later, the Breaker Advanced Class for the male Martial Artist class has arrived. Using the South Vern Powerpass, I created my character and delved into Arkesia anew with a new style of gameplay in mind.
How Does the Breaker Class Work in Lost Ark?
In my experience, the Breaker class is incredible, with both DPS and landing a LOT of damage via continuous attacks, similar to other Martial Artist Advanced Classes of either gender. Their mobility and Defense are ranked incredibly high, with a major focus on Stamina and Shock Energy. To sum up exactly how this class can be,
What separates the Breaker Advanced Class from all other Martial Artist Advanced Classes is what happens after your Tenacious Power meter is full. Tenacious Power is gained from slamming down enemies successfully with skills. Once full, activating your Brawl King Stance will make combat exponentially faster. You can then enhance the Stance using the Brawl King Stom engraving or even the Asura’s Path engraving for Asura’s State.
What Do the Breaker Skill Trees Look Like?
There are two major skill tree options in the Lost Ark meta that you can work towards: Brawl King Stance and Asura State. Do you remember when Asura’s Wrath for the PS3 and
- Brawl King Stance
- Pressing the Z key when the Tenacious Power meter is full will activate Brawl King Stance. This resets your Movement Skill and increases your Attack Speed by 10%. Since your basic attack is enhanced at this point, you can land basic attacks while also earning a Stamina and Shock cooldown of 5%. After ten seconds, any damage you or anyone in your party deals will be increased by 6%.
- Asura’s State
- Similar to the Brawl King Stance, if you press the Z key when your Asura Energy meter fills up, you’ll enter Asura State. All your basic attacks are enhanced and your damage is increased according to your Crit Rate. Within Asura’s State, there are two internal abilities:
- Sura Destruction
- Pressing the X key activates Sura Destruction which increases Movement Skill and Movement Speed by 15%.
- Defensive Speculation
- Defensive Speculation absorbs 20% of incoming damage and provides you with a 40% Shield increase. Once it’s been used, you’ll enter the Fighting Spirit Absorption state for ten seconds.
- Sura Destruction
- Similar to the Brawl King Stance, if you press the Z key when your Asura Energy meter fills up, you’ll enter Asura State. All your basic attacks are enhanced and your damage is increased according to your Crit Rate. Within Asura’s State, there are two internal abilities:
Where Does the Breaker Class Fit in the Lost Ark Story?
The Breaker Advanced Class has always been there in the eyes of the developers. In fact, the Breaker is a champion of the Changhum Tournament in Aniika.

The Verdict: I’ll Be Playing This Class Moving Forward
I thought that I was a big fan of the Scrapper Advanced Class. Now that I’ve experienced the Breaker, I know exactly how I wanted the Scrapper to play, but had just never realized it. My personal playstyle is reliant on getting close to the enemy and wailing on them as many times and as fast as possible.
The controls are also easy to make combos out of and the added flair attached to each ability makes it more fun than I could have ever imagined. I’ll be using this Advanced Class moving forward and shelving my Scrapper for a little while.
