A Louisiana business owner decided to hire somebody to help him with some work. However, things quickly turned from good to bad when the worker made some horrendous lies about his fiancé. Now, this owner is calling him out because of his unacceptable actions, and asking for an apology.
Seth (@chapmancompound) said a man named Dylan got ahold of him on TikTok asking if he had any available jobs. Seth called him in for an interview and everything went well. However, on the day he was supposed to start, Dylan confided in Seth and told him his fiancé had a miscarriage. He took some time away and then started working for Seth for several days. On one of those work days, Dylan borrowed $700 from a coworker at Seth’s business. Seth didn’t really think anything was off at this point.
Then, Seth said that Dylan didn’t show up to work on Friday. He thought that was weird, so he texted him and asked why he didn’t show up. When Seth finally got ahold of him, he said Dylan told him some shocking news: That his fiancé allegedly died the night before. Seth was blown away and talked to Dylan about the matter. He confided in Dylan and told him that he, too, lost his first wife.
Unfortunately, Seth fell for it because Dylan’s fiancé didn’t actually pass away. He found out there was no funeral service and Dylan stopped replying to him. This made Seth “suspicious” of the matter and he eventually called out his new employee for this. On top of that, he found out that his new worker did this to previous businesses as well!
In an update video, Seth calls his employee and forces an apology out of him for the horrific thing he lied about. He instructs Dylan to say over the phone, “I’m a piece of [expletive] and I lied about my wife dying.” Dylan repeats after him. Then Seth tells him, “Thank you. I did record that and that’s going on TikTok.” Seth was completely blown away by everybody who reached out to him about the employee and handled it the only way he could think to do it.
The video immediately sparked reactions from commenters across the U.S. Many commenters were entirely shocked by what this employee did to Seth. One commenter announced, “Bro could’ve just said he had diarrhea.” Another commenter stated, “I just lost my wife and this gets me so mad.”
Other commenters wondered about the coworker who lent money to the scheming worker. One suggested, “I think a good gesture is your business paying back the employee that let him borrow money. I realize it’s not the business that let him borrow money but you did hire someone and sounds like you didn’t research him or call previous employers so would be a good gesture.” Seth replied to this commenter, “He got his money back! Pressure always works!” Commenters continue to share reactions and opinions on Seth’s videos concerning the topic.
