Love Is Blind season 4 kicked off on March 24 with an all-new twist of 30 cast members — consisting of people mainly living within the Seattle area, including Kwame Appiah. However, one of those contestants who immediately caught viewers’ interest is Kwame Appiah, who lives in Portland. Kwame’s journey on the show so far has seen him caught in the first seeming love triangle — after connecting with two women at the pods. The reality star connected with Micah Lussier, a 27-year-old marketing manager, and Chelsea Griffin, a 31-year-old pediatric speech-language pathologist.

Although Kwame and Micah’s interaction seemed to be heading somewhere, the marketing manager abruptly broke things off with him to pursue her connection with Paul Peden. Meanwhile, Kwame proposed to an excited Chelsea in the pods. As usual, the first few episodes of Love Is Blind has featured so much drama. However, Kwame has sold himself to viewers thanks to his easy approach, genuine smile, and engaging life story. With many fans now rooting for Kwame, here is everything you need to know about him.

Kwame Appiah is 33 years old and was born in the small town of Tema, Ghana. He relocated to the United States at a young age and quickly focused on understanding English and its pronunciations. According to Kwame’s LinkedIn, his early mastery of the English language helped him “build a strong foundation on conveying my thoughts; therefore, my biggest strengths are public speaking and storytelling.”

Today, Kwame has several years of working experience in sales and marketing. During the filming of Love Is Blind season 4, Kwame’s promotional post on his Instagram listed him as a sales development manager. However, his LinkedIn now lists his job as Head of Community Development at Common Room. He has held the position since August 2022, hinting his move to Seattle might not be unrelated to his burgeoning romance with Seattle-based Chelsea Griffin.

Before venturing into sales and marketing, Kwame was a professional soccer player who played in the MLS and other European leagues. His career was, however, cut short due to a terrible injury while playing in Sweden in 2019. Meanwhile, Kwame’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing and a Master’s in Business Administration And Management from the Goldey-Beacom College.

Kwame maintains a very active Instagram presence through his profile @ayokwam. The former soccer player has over 18k followers on Instagram, and he regularly shares updates about his life and works with them. One exciting thing about Kwame, highlighted in his Instagram feed, is his love for photography. The 33-year-old even has a photography website where clients hire him for personal and professional events. A look through his profile also shows his love for the outdoors and adventure. There are several pictures of him exploring mountains, deserts, and several cities across the globe.

One of the posts that gives a better understanding of Kwame’s mindset was one he shared back in March 2022. Kwame gets vulnerable as he shares his experience after his career-ending injury while emphasizing the importance of staying positive no matter what. Kwame has gotten off to a bright start on Love Is Blind season 4, and from all indications, he has everything it takes to keep the great energy going. He has positioned himself as one cast member fans will keenly watch over the next few weeks.
