The loyalty of peasants depends on how well you satisfy their needs in your village in Manor Lords. They shall work, they shall prey, and they shall be entertained and have some fun. The Lack of Entertainment pops up after you upgrade your Burgage Plots to levels 2 and 3, and you have to fix it fast in Manor Lords. If not, peasants won’t be happy for long, which would later lead to chaos in your territories.

Food variety, church level, and water wells are the fundamentals that you’ll have to start your village with. People are satisfied with these early needs at first. But as you upgrade the residential buildings, their needs grow. You’ll later have to upgrade your church, add more variety to clothing and food, and importantly enough, give peasants an entertainment center called Tavern.

After long days at work, those people deserve to have some ale in Taverns, don’t they? If you don’t provide ale for them, a new message pops up, telling you that there’s a lack of entertainment in your village in Manor Lords.

So before upgrading your level 1 Burgage Plots to levels 2 and 3, make sure that you have fields that give Barley. Then, place a Malthouse near it, so that people can make ale from the gift of their lands. Ale will later get transported into Taverns, and the lack of entertainment massage will be fixed in Manor Lords. This will increase your Approval rate, making it easier to get more families to take residence in your territories.

Remember that if you’ve got high Regional Wealth, you can build a Trading Post, and buy your Barley needs from there. Or if you’ve got some rich pockets among your peasants, go ahead and buy Ale directly from the Trading Post.
