McDonald’s Hires Guard Over ICE Fears: Minnesota Man Sparks Outrage, ‘We Are Making a Stand’

His “civic duties”

A MAGA supporter in Minnesota took his beliefs to the next level by blowing the whistle on a McDonald’s branch he accused of harboring illegal workers.  Performing his “civic duties” in a TikTok video, the Trump supporter spoke into the video while walking towards the store.

“I’ve been hearing these rumors about a McDonald’s uptown South Minnesota, about how they are protecting illegal immigrants,” he revealed as he got to the entrance of the said McDonald’s. The door had a notice stating that the establishment’s door would be attended to during working hours, and anyone perceived to be a threat would not be allowed in. The Trump supporter claimed that it was aimed at stopping those who “looked like ICE agents” from entering. He then took his time to describe McDonald’s and read out its complete address, saying nobody had posted it before. “It’s about time these people are put on blast,” he said, adding that he was tired of the “illegals being protected by this parasitic liberal scum.”

He then encouraged ICE agents to take their positions regardless, noting that the doors were made of glass and could be easily shattered, so they could help “clean up” the country. Just like most content on the Internet, reactions to the clip were split in the middle, with half criticizing the MAGA seriously and the like-minded ones strongly supporting him.

“So you’re saying McDonald’s is filtering out people that would endanger the people on the inside… kinda like our country should. Interesting,” a netizen wrote sarcastically. Another added, “McDonald’s protecting workers? That’s a happy meal deal.” Someone else wrote, “‘Getting the city cleaned up’… By kidnapping fry cooks? People who have jobs and are trying to be productive members of society?”

A TikToker penned, “I heard this a week or two ago, and the doors were said to be locked because of the high crime rate! Make sure you have the right story,” while another stated, “Crimes against humanity should be the moral high ground!” The other half did not stay silent. “So this franchise is profiling its customers? I think corporate needs a phone call,” one said, taking it in a different context. “Lexington, Ky, McDonald’s is almost entirely staffed with people who can’t speak English. Maybe it’s a corporate-supported decision,” another wrote, alleging that the issue was not exclusive to that branch alone.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but if there’s an illegal immigrant in there and they’re keeping ICE agents from being able to enter, wouldn’t that be the same as harboring a fugitive?” a TikToker asked. “Wasn’t aware private security has authority to deny federal agents. They aren’t even allowed to stop or detain shoplifters from stealing groceries from Safeway, so color me surprised.”

Another supported the MAGA’s notion, “Clean up every city, hold those obstructing DHS accountable. It’s time to start arresting those who impede Federal Law enforcement from doing their job…” and a last one wrote, “As much free PR from Trump as he’s done and they turn on his orders?“
