Miley Cyrus had fans commenting on her weight as late-night snaps of the singer circulated earlier this month. On September 1, The Daily Mail shared paparazzi photos of the 31-year-old leaving boyfriend Maxx Morando’s music show in L.A., but talk was less about her relationship with the musician and more about her appearance.
While Cyrus sparked weight worries in the wake of her 2019 divorce from Liam Hemsworth, she’s largely projected an image of health of late, particularly with her rock-hard muscles in 2023-released music video “Flowers.” That said, fans seeing these photos wondered if Miley had undergone buccal fat removal surgery, with a user responding to this allegation saying that she needs to put on some “weight.” Miley was even accused of having had rhinoplasty by one fan, although it’s worth noting that the Grammy winner has never admitted to any plastic surgery procedures.

Photographed in the passenger seat of a vehicle, Miley kept low-key, switching out her usual bombshell vibe for a discreet finish.
Highlighting her toned figure in a dark tee, the singer kept casual while flashing hints of her gym-honed arms, choosing a form-fitting top in blue. Adding in statement black shades for some Hollywood glam, Miley drew the eye from her figure to her features, showing off her chiseled jawline and high cheekbones while rocking her new brunette locks in a bun.
Wearing a light layer of foundation under warming blush and bronzer, Miley added stud earrings, completing her understated look with a rosy lip. The singer was escorted away from the concert by a male pal.
Fans Saying She’s Too Skinny
Fans were quick to react. “The buccal fat removal was a terrible decision,” one fan wrote, gaining over 100 upvotes.
Unsure if Miley had undergone the procedure, another replied: “Is that what happened? I was just going to say, that she looked nice but could use a little weight, especially in her face. These women having this done will be quite unhappy when they get older.”
Convinced the blonde has had a nose job, a further user said: “Has she had a nose job. As a child nose looks bigger.”
Fortunately, more positive replies did come in, with one fan calling the former Disney star “beautiful.”
Miley had sparked weight worries in 2012, making headlines as she clapped back. “For everyone calling me anorexic, I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It’s not about weight it’s about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!” she wrote on social media.
The singer has also proven a talking point for going vegan, then back-tracking. In 2020, while speaking to podcaster Joe Rogan, Miley revealed that she’d ditched the plant-based lifestyle as a lack of nutrients wasn’t allowing her brain to “function properly.”
