However, after a now-viral TikTok has surfaced of a Missouri Karen in her natural habitat, the internet has gone crazy. The video’s poster claims a waitress at her local bar in St. Louis, Missouri, was cursing at her and her family for no reason. However, the internet seems to be having a hard time picking sides in this specific situation.
Working in the service industry can be very stressful for any individual. However, sometimes the customers don’t make it necessary for them. However, in this instance, it appears that a lack of professionalism took over for our TikToker’s waitress. The video was posted by a woman named Courtney as her family attempted to enjoy some time out together. The TikTok shows the waitress, who some are referring to as the Missouri Karen online, asking Courtney what the issue is. After explaining the situation, the waitress can then be heard saying, “Let’s not be a b**ch,” regarding Courtney. At that point, Courtney had asked for the worker’s name, as well as to speak to her manager.
Missouri Karen Crashes Out At Bar
Based on the Missouri Karen video, it seems safe to say the argument stemmed from a mistake that a different employee had made. It has been said that a different worker had allegedly not applied the happy hour discount to Courtney’s order. This seems to be what caused the entire altercation, but the waitress’s foul language definitely escalated it. Although after some digging, the two women may know one another personally.
The waitress, whose name is Maddy, is allegedly very close with Courtney’s ex-boyfriend, who was there with her at the bar that night. However, Courtney denies knowing Maddy outright. Although she would double back to that and state she “knew of her.” It would seem as though the connection to this one man was the true reason behind all the rudeness.
The Missouri Karen story doesn’t end there, though. The official TikTok account of the bar released a statement about that night. The establishment confirms that Maddy has been “put on probation.” However, this drama could just be getting started. When former lovers are involved, things can get really messy, really fast. Although, as for Courtney, after posting her videos and story time on TikTok, it seems like she has moved past this incident. Hopefully, for Maddy’s sake, she has moved on as well.
