Montana Chef Threatens to ‘Fight Customer’ Over Heinous Order: ‘Carrot Cake Without the Cake’

Gordon Ramsay would not be pleased

Montana Restaurant Order of Customer Carrot Cake Request

A carrot cake without the cake makes no sense, yet it’s a request that a Montana chef requested that left them completely “flabbergasted.” “I think we should be allowed to fight 1 customer a day,” jokingly demanded AngstyIndie406, who posted a photo of the no-cake carrot cake on r/KitchenConfidential. To explain the lettuce with caramel topping, OP wrote, “the guest wanted our carrot cake without the cake, so they asked for a wedge salad base dressed up like a carrot cake.”

I think we should be allowed to fight 1 customer a day.

To be clear, AngstyIndie406’s threat to fight a customer was intended as sarcasm, as they weren’t actually upset about the bizarre request at all. “This was pretty simple to make and it (somehow) made the guest happy so I wasn’t too mad about it. Just thought everyone here would get a kick out of it,” they wrote. And they weren’t wrong, as thousands of Redditors did indeed get quite the chuckle over the heinous dessert of lettuce with dessert dressing.

Redditors Found the ‘Carrot Cake without Cake’ Outrageously Hilarious

“This ticket would’ve had me asking FOH so many questions and all of them would’ve probably still lead to ‘Bring the guest here please,’” remarked a commenter. A reply joked that someone should have been sent out to “seize” the customer over their order. “Eating disorder is the only way I can wrap my head around this,” suggested another user.

“How much you charging for $1 of lettuce slapped on a plate with 2 TBSP of caramel sauce?” questioned a Redditor, to which AngstyIndie406 jokingly responded, “In this economy? Far too much.” The post was packed with plenty of people sharing jokes and stories, with one user even coming clean about their “pretty confused and depraved meals.”

They opened up about how they like “savory breadcrumbs on my ice cream, poutine with pudding instead of gravy, and Doritos microwave nachos with fried bologna.” However, they claimed they’ve never made public requests of their food kinks: “Never in my life would I ask a professional kitchen to indulge my food kinks. This is heinous.”

The wildest caesar salad I have ever seen

This wasn’t the Montana chef’s first time serving a heinous dish requested by a customer. A year ago, AngstyIndie406 served a person the “wildest caesar salad I have ever seen.” It contained naught but avocado slices and a side of apple cider vinegar, which the customer allegedly “drank it in a shot glass.” Horrifically and hilariously heinous, indeed.
