Solo Leveling: ARISE is an exciting action game for mobile and PC players looking to inject extra thrill into their daily lives. On top of it being a well-crafted NetMarble hack ‘n slash based on a beloved webtoon property, more content is coming. Executive Project Director Seong-Keon Jin confirms that more action mechanics and other features will be added in future updates.
Solo Leveling: ARISE released its full version for players worldwide on May 7, 2024. Players may notice that its features, such as its story and overall mechanics, don’t quite match the source material. However, a steady pipeline of content and frequent updates promise more action in the future.
Solo Leveling: ARISE Will Add More Dungeons, Raids, and Action Content
As indicated by Seong-Keon Jin, there are plans to add more dungeons and even raid content. On top of this, the story, for instance, added six new chapters to eighteen, with the latest featuring Kargalgan. Most of the main story is unexplored for those who follow the manhwa. The genuinely thrilling aspect is that Solo Leveling: ARISE can organically add action content and increase the challenges to meet Jinwoo’s rapid rise as the Monarch of Shadows.
But that’s not to say there aren’t many ways to enjoy the action in Solo Leveling: ARISE. While it certainly is influenced by RPG elements that dictate how much damage you can deal with and mitigate, the game is fluid and fun. It supports gamepads and is enjoyable for long sessions on the PC when not playing on your phone. With modes beyond Story unlockable as far as Chapter 14 with promises of more updates beyond, added features have included:
- Hunter Archive
- Encore Missions
- Battlefield of Trials
- Gates
- Instance Dungeons
- Battlefield of Time
- Power of Destruction
Many of these also prominently feature your Hunters, in case you are worried about Jinwoo’s munchkin power-leveling taking the fun out of using other characters. Finally, with characters like Kargalgan in the latter portion of the latest update’s Story mode, it means more Shadows to add to your army in the future and more challenging bosses ahead to tame.
Solo Leveling: ARISE is Meant to Attract Players With Its Gameplay
Solo Leveling: ARISE’s gameplay is meant to attract players instead of addictive gacha mechanics and inevitable appeals to tier lists. As Seong-Keon Jin puts it,
The primary goal of Solo Leveling: ARISE is to rank at the top of the global index, as we have confidently transformed the globally-beloved IP into an action game.. Since Solo Leveling is an IP with a large fandom, our objective is for the gameplay to attract the interest of the public rather than to have good numerical figures.
Seong-Keon Jin
Having played the game at length for hours-long sessions since its beta, I can confirm the gameplay is enticing. Solo Leveling: ARISE doesn’t reinvent the wheel with mobile gacha action games but rather reminds players which keyword matters most. With more content on the way and new hunters like Cha Hae-in and Silvermane Baek Yoon on top of surprising additions, Solo Leveling: ARISE has an impressive pipeline ahead.
