The Mortal Kombat community has been busy finding the Floyd Easter eggs in Mortal Kombat 1. However, I’ve found another small detail in the game that’s worth noticing. It’s not as big of a deal as Floyd, but still, it’s so good to know that MK1 has been hiding this subtle detail in plain sight for two years, and we didn’t even notice.
As shared by the user Amatista_Kiwi on X, it seems like the MK Kombatants also get worn out like us, even if they’re Titans. The video below shows the different animations of the characters when they’re hit to their last breath vs. when they’re fresh and ready at the start of the round.
This small detail was recently discovered, but it’s probably not something added to the game in the recent updates. And while it’s not as big as finding Floyd, it seems like looking for the pink ninja has made Amatista_Kiwi discover this detail and how characters behave when they’re low on health in Mortal Kombat 1. “Only noticed it for a Floyd challenge I’ve done. I had to wait for the timer to go out and noticed Reptile wobbling!” says the user.
Now I believe this without even trying it myself in the game, that’s for sure. I’ve also found that the characters get winded once they reach the Fatal Blow HP. But the head-scratching began when I realized Liu Kang is a god in this game, so would he also get jaded when beaten? Not a solid obsession, though; yes, he also gets weary. I mean, Noob Saibot can kill Titan Havik, so the logic works even if it’s just an in-game animation.
Mortal Kombat 1 has picked the pace again with the recent news and some players like me are back in the game to find easter eggs and probably hang around testing Conan’s sword in kombat. This is all because the game’s lifecycle is still not finished and a Kombat Pack 3 is probably at work as Ed Boon, the creator of MK has confirmed a future DLC himself.
