It must be an effort to keep track of all of the characters in an anime, especially a shonen like My Hero Academia. But here we go, with another character slated to make their on-screen debut in My Hero Academia Season 5. Announced via the official My Hero Academia Twitter account, voice actress Misato Kawauchi will play a character named Burnin (real name Moe Kamiji), a Pro Hero at the Endeavor Agency.
BIRTHDAY: 1/25
HEIGHT: 169cm
“Quirk”: Burning hair
She is one of the “Flame Side Kickers” at Endeavor Office. She has a “personality” that can be freely manipulated, such as flying a flame in her head to attack, or flapping her wings to fly. – Official My Hero Academia Character Profile
Misato Kawauchi has appeared in a few other things besides My Hero Academia Season 5. She played Nozomi Aida in an episode of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, and Nana Kujo in Ultraman Taiga. The Burnin character in My Hero Academia Season 5 may be her biggest role yet, given the popularity of the series.
The fifth season of My Hero Academia first premiered in Japan on March 27. While both Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming the anime in the West with English subtitles, only the latter is offering an English dub alongside the subbed version. Right now, the show is up to the “Joint Training” arc in the original manga series that pits Class 1A against Class 1B. Oh, “shonen” anime, you and your love for high school class wars never change.
My Hero Academia is still going strong, with a third movie, titled My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes’ Mission (wow, long title), premiering on August 6, following the previous two movies.
