When it comes to most life sim games, there’s always a certain progress loop. You get materials, build something new to get better materials, and that goes on and on until you get the best gathering or crafting tool. For My Time at Sandrock, the same rule applies, and one of the first rare tools you’ll need to craft is the Bronze Axe. This tool allows you to get better wood to make rare materials, and having a guide at hand to get this axe never hurts.

While the game does a terrific job of showing you the ropes, there are other things you must discover by yourself. One of those is getting the right materials for the Bronze Axe in My Time at Portia. Luckily for you, we’ve made a list of the steps you must follow:

  1. Craft 5 Bronze Bars

For this, you have two options. If you have enough gols, head to Hammet Time and buy them. If not, reach layer 3 inside Eufala Ruins and gather Copper and Tin. We have a guide about how to get Tin fast in the game.

  2. Craft 2 Wooden Sticks

There’s no way to buy these, so you’ll have to craft them. The fastest way is by heading to the desert and cutting down some of the bushes you see; they’ll drop from 2 to 3 pieces of wood. Head back to your worktable to craft them.

  3. Craft 2 Copper Screws

Again, if you have the money, buy them from Hammer Time. If not, the long way is to craft a Grinder and craft them. You’ll always get 2 Copper Screws from the Grinder, so you won’t need many copper bars for them.

  4. Buy a Sharpening Stone

The most expensive item is the Sharpening Stone, which is only obtainable in Hammer Time. Its cost fluctuates between 500 and 600 goals, making it expensive during the game’s early hours. However, you can grab commissions to get gol fast. Focus on the Free Cities commissions, as the payout is the highest.

The road to making a Bronze Axe in My Time at Sandrock is costly but worth it. You’ll have a fantastic tool that’ll let you chop down Deadwood and other rare materials to make better machines and complete new commissions. If crafting and gathering isn’t your thing, we’d like to share a video from the developers showcasing other fun features in the game that you can experience in this desert locale.
