A Nebraska woman has gone viral on TikTok after sharing security camera footage that she says shows a FedEx delivery driver throwing heavy packages toward her pets during two separate deliveries. The clips, which appear to show the driver tossing a package near her dog in one video and her cat in another, sparked widespread outrage and prompted a response from both FedEx and Chewy.
The video was posted by TikTok user Cass (@cass2057) and has received more than eight million views. Thousands of viewers flooded the comments, with many calling for the driver to be fired and held accountable.
According to the Nebraska woman, the incidents happened at her farm, where her 14-year-old senior dog and cat enjoy spending time outside. She alleged the driver threw a 34-pound bag of dog food toward her pets, saying it could have seriously injured or even killed one of them if it had struck them. The security footage shows the animals near the delivery area while the driver tosses the packages, though whether he intentionally aimed at them has been debated online.
Cass said she initially contacted Chewy after failing to get a response from FedEx. She praised Chewy for taking the matter seriously and said the company filed its own claim with FedEx. According to her, both companies later requested copies of the security footage.
In a later update in the comments, the Nebraska woman said FedEx informed her the driver would no longer deliver to her home and that the videos would be used for future employee training. She added that FedEx repeatedly offered her a goodwill gesture, but she declined because she wanted accountability instead of compensation. She also said she would not consider the matter resolved until she was certain the driver would no longer handle her future Chewy deliveries.
Nebraska Video Sparks Calls for Accountability
The video drew widespread outrage, with most viewers condemning the driver’s alleged actions and calling for him to be fired. Many described the behavior as cruel and disturbing, especially because the animals appeared calm and were not bothering him. Some also believed the driver smiled after tossing the packages, making the footage even more unsettling.
“If he does get fired, keep your cats and dog inside and don’t let them out unless you’re watching them the whole time. He’ll be angry and has already shown he’s violent without even being provoked,” one user wrote.
Many commenters urged the Nebraska woman to report the incident to local police in addition to FedEx, while others suggested contacting the local FedEx Ground hub directly. Chewy also received widespread praise, with many users sharing positive experiences with the company’s customer service.
Not everyone agreed the driver intentionally tried to hit the animals. A smaller group argued the large package may have blocked his view or that he was simply throwing it toward the porch. Even so, many agreed packages should never be tossed when pets are nearby.
At least the pets escaped unharmed. Hopefully, future deliveries will be a lot less eventful.
