Necromunda: Underhive Wars
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information.

At this point, it feels like we’ve gotten more looks into the Warhammer universe than I can count. We have the classic RTS titles, the Vermintide series, soon to be Darktide, and several other smaller titles. Despite that influx, all of them have retained a high level of quality making them some of the best of their genres. It’s why I’ve come to love Vermintide so much. Now though, it seems we’re getting a Warhammer styled foray into the world of tactical RPGs. Necromunda: Underhive Wars is just that title, now announced to be coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 8th, 2020. You can find the release date trailer, showing off some early gameplay, below.

Necromunda: Underhive Wars - Release Date Announcement Trailer

Necromunda: Underhive Wars brings you below the hive cities of Necromunda, a rural and dangerous place filled with gangs and crime as far as the eye can see. As one such gang, you have a similar goal in that you want to raise your gang to the top of this world. To do so though, you’ll need to start a little bloodshed. Assemble your gang from various sectors of the Underhive, and customize them to your liking to take your foes out in style.  Put your tactics to the test with Necromunda: Underhive Wars coming later this year.

While you may not have access to the game just yet, it’s currently available for pre-order on PC. From what’s been shown of the game so far, I wouldn’t blame you for pre-ordering. It seems like it has a big focus on tactics (as expected), customization, and visual fidelity. Even something as disgusting as a Warhammer underworld is made to look so beautiful in Necromunda: Underhive Wars. With these three combined, the game should prove to be an enjoyable experience. Not to mention the game is being helmed by Focus Home Interactive who is a reputable publisher.

These are just my thoughts though. I’d love to hear what you think about Necromunda: Underhive Wars. If there are any Warhammer games you’re a fan of, be sure to talk about that too. Otherwise, stay tuned here at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
