Due to its popularization on social media, the NeeDoh company has experienced a massive craze and shortage. These adorable stress-relieving squish toys are loved by children and adults. When one mom took her daughter to a Walmart in New Jersey, she never expected her to take the NeeDoh obsession so seriously. But their fun quickly came to an end when a Walmart employee intervened.
NeeDohs are reportedly sold out in many areas of America and so children and adults alike are on the search. One mom, Christina (@stylesbychristina), took her daughter to Walmart to search for NeeDohs with some friends. When they didn’t find any on the shelves, they decided to look through the pallets at the center of the store. But these pallets weren’t intentionally put out on shelves yet, so nobody should have been touching them.
Christina states in the caption of her video: “I honestly didn’t expect NeeDohs to have kids acting like this.” When Christina asks her daughter and the other kids what they’re doing, they say, “Looking for NeeDohs, duh” with complete attitude. The group of kids works together to take down multiple pallets from the pile at a New Jersey Walmart. They check the boxes for codes and names to see what’s inside them. Then they stack them in another part of the aisle so they can go through the remaining boxes. There’s a massive pile of boxes for employees to clean up.
Suddenly, a Walmart employee approaches them to see what’s happening. The kids explain they were looking for NeeDohs while this parent stood there watching it all unfold. He shrugs at the children and tells them that they aren’t allowed to sort through the unopened boxes like that. He tells the kids to come back “tomorrow” to see if any NeeDohs have been restocked in the store.
Of course, commenters reacted with the utmost astonishment at how the kids tore through boxes and left a mess behind. One commenter stated, “So they just made a mess by putting the boxes on the ground.” Another pointed out, “So no one’s gonna move the BABY FIRST? Let’s just leave a baby stroller next to a tall stack of unsteady boxes…”
Other commenters piled in to shame Christina for standing back and watching this chaos unfold. One said, “The fact that the mother is helping is insane.” Commenters continue to share their thoughts on the New Jersey NeeDoh craze that is taking social media by storm.
