Superfuse, a new superhero action RPG for PC, has officially been announced for Steam Early Access. The game comes from developer Stitch Heads and publisher Raw Fury, who intend on launching the project sometime this year. Evidently, no specified date is being disclosed, but you can wishlist Superfuse now through its Steam page.
Become the Superhero in Superfuse
Society’s elite has been experimenting with superpowers for so long that the galaxy basically belongs to them. For the poor and struggling, however, they’re left neglected, barely clinging to life. That is until an unexpected alien threat begins to wreak havoc across the stars, forcing the upper-class folk to depend on the poor for help. This is where the player comes in, as an Enforcer who must take on the aliens by patrolling the galaxy and eliminating the enemy. But who are these aliens, the Corruption, as they’re called? Is humanity at stake? Only with the right weapons and powers can the player answer these questions in Superfuse.
The gameplay for Superfuse features an active skill system where players can pick their class and powers to generate different results. Through either a single-player campaign or 4-player co-op, Enforcers will fight hordes of enemies through procedurally generated levels. The more enemies you defeat, the more loot you’ll be able to collect and trade. Apparently, there are hundreds of different items that you can choose from in the game. Alternatively, you can always sell it on the game’s market for some extra credits.
Superfuse takes immense inspiration from vibrant comic books, and it’s on full display with the announcement trailer. It’s mostly a blend of comic book panels that shed light on the story with only a few seconds of gameplay. Stitch Heads and Raw Fury plan on launching Superfuse into Early Access this year. Accordingly, the full release will arrive sometime in 2023.
