This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information.

Dishonored 2 is quickly nearing its release date, and now Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer detailing some of the creative ways to take down the game’s plethora of bad guys. In the upcoming title, players will explore dual storylines by taking control of either the infamous Corvo Attano or Emily Kaldwin, who is a playable character for the first time.

Fans of the original Dishonored will remember when we last left Emily Kaldwin she was still a young princess, recently saved from kidnapping and recovering from the assassination of her mother, Empress Jessamine. Now, roughly fifteen years after the events of the first game, not only is Emily obviously an adult, she is also the rightful heir to the throne. It is up to Emily and Corvo to handle an empire that is still damaged by war while trying to reclaim Emily’s place as the Empress of the Isles.

Dishonored 2
We will have the option to play as Emily Kaldwin in Dishonored 2.

The newest Dishonored gameplay video released today was entitled Creative Kills, and during its nearly four-minute run, we saw Emily and Corvo taking names on several enemies. While many of these are abilities that we have seen before, a handful of them like Emily’s ‘Far Reach’ have evolved in Dishonored 2. One of the best things about the combat in the original game is how players have to think on their feet and quickly combine powers to suit their needs in battle. We can expect much of the same in Dishonored 2. You can watch the Creative Kills gameplay video below.

In the last few months, we have been so used to hearing about release dates being pushed back, so it may come as a surprise to hear that Dishonored 2 will actually be released on its intended release date. It will be available on November 11th for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
