New Multiversus Trailer Reveals the Joker With Gameplay & Hints at the Powerpuff Girls

Compare me to Batman? I’ve got more style, brain, and I’m certainly the better dresser.

MultiVersus got a new trailer from WB Games that finally reveals The Joker with gameplay, teases the upcoming Powerpuff Girls to be joining the roster, and confirms the release date of the full game. The Joker was already expected since it was recently confirmed that he would be joining the roster and would be voiced by the legendary Mark Hamill.

The gameplay trailer (which you can watch below) shows some of his specials, attacks, and quips, an amazing throwback to Batman: The Animated Series‘ Joker. He and Harley have some unique back-and-forth dialogue as well.

Multiversus Gameplay Trailer Shows off the Joker, Teases Characters, & Confirms Release Date

The Powerpuff Girls can be seen in the top right at the start of the video in the top right corner of the Bat-Computer around the 0:07 mark. This means they will be joining the game at some point, but the teasers don’t stop there. One of the stages that the Joker is seen brawling on looks a lot like Dexter’s Laboratory, which could mean the tiny genius might also be coming with the full release of MultiVersus.

They will likely appear soon because The Powerpuff Girls were also mentioned in the leaked datamined characters in the game’s previous release. The datamine also leaked fan favorites like Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, Fred Flintstone, and Ted Lasso.

MultiVersus originally hit open beta back in July 2022 and was a smash hit in the Smash community. It had a long list of recognizable characters from the extensive Warner Bros. library and instantly resonated with many players.

Making a comeback after a long wait, the full version of MultiVersus will be released on May 28, 2024. It will run on Epic’s Unreal Engine 5, and considering the popularity of the open beta, it will hopefully be a mainstay in the Smash Bros. community.
