With less than two months away from its summer release, The Flash is showing more of what is to come. One of the main highlights of the upcoming film is the return of Michael Keaton as Batman/Bruce Wayne; though his character was mildly teased in previous footage, the new The Flash trailer fleshes out more of his character. In addition to more Batman, the trailer brings forth the other significant characters that are part of an alternate universe.

The Flash Trailer Speedforces Blast Through the Past
The new The Flash trailer shows audiences more of the main cast appearing in the film. While The Flash/Barry Allen’s (Ezra Miller) story has been announced through previous trailers, the new footage brings the two Batmans, Supergirl, and General Zod, into the spotlight. The trailer also touches upon more of the narrative, especially the complex aspects of the universes that Barry is messing with.
In an alternate universe, Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne has been dusting away crime as the Caped Crusader; General Zod (Michael Shannon) wishes to destroy Earth now that the past has been altered; Supergirl (Sasha Calle) flies into action, taking Superman’s place in this tale; Ben Affleck‘s Bruce Wayne continues to bestow wisdom onto Barry. It’s all backed by epic orchestric music, empowered by the intense CGI effects and superhero drama surrounding Barry’s situation.
In truth, this trailer provides additional context into the story and fans’ suspicions/theories. Barry goes into the past to save his mother, thus causing severe changes in the future. All of the characters are in action here, giving audiences a decent look into the fantastical action of the DC world.
The Flash will arrive in theaters this summer on June 16, 2023. The film comes from director Andy Muschietti (IT, IT: Chapter 2, Mama), with a screenplay by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, Bumblebee, Shut In).
