New Trailer for OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead

Starbreeze Studio, Skybound Entertainment, and 505 Games have teamed up and have released a new trailer for their game OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead.

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op multiplayer FPS action game set in Washington, D.C. as an outbreak brings the dead back to life. Players will be sent on a variety of missions and raids, securing supplies and survivors to strengthen their base camp against the threat of both the dead and the living.

In the video, Aidan starts off by remembering his past life where it was chaotic and stressful. He then gets brought back to the post-apocalyptic world where he then starts killing zombies. Aidan is the first to be shown of the game’s four unique playable characters fighting to stay alive. The other character is another two males, one young and another a lot older, and the other character is a woman. Each playable character has their own special abilities, skill trees, squad roles, play styles, and background stories.

The developers recommend that players need to be able to improvise as a horde of walkers could be ‘around the corner’. The developers also say that players could either take out enemies carefully with silent melee attacks or go in guns blazing, but the choice is up to them to strategize their unique gameplay.

Starbreeze, the developers of this game are best known for PAYDAY 2 and they joined up with Skybound Entertainment, who actually created the television series The Walking Dead. Along with that, the publisher 505 games is best known for releasing Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons, PAYDAY 2, Dead by Daylight, and Stardew Valley. These three companies will be working together and their game OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is expected to launch sometime in fall 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
