This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

Amazon’s new MMO New World offers a massive world with tons to do and discover. As players level up, they get access to new quests, items, and features. One feature, in particular, is the immersive camping mechanic, which allows players to set up a campsite and use it for either resting or crafting basic items. As you level your camp, you will be able to craft higher-tier potions, tinctures, food, and weapon coatings. This guide aims to help any players who may be confused with how to upgrade their campsite in New World.

How to Upgrade Your Camp in New World

New World Camp Bergina

In New World, you will unlock different tiers of your camp through specific world quests that become available as you level up. The lowest level, Camping Tier 1, is accessible at Level 5, while Camping Tier 5 can be unlocked at Level 55. To start off, let’s go over how to upgrade your camp in New World at Tier 2.

To unlock Camping Tier 2 in New World, you will first need to reach Level 15 to access the quest, “Survivalist, Friends in Fashion.” Now, head over to Monarch’s Bluff and search for a Survivalist named Bergina Thornton. After a bit of dialogue, she will send you off to Divine Rise to collect pieces of tattered silk. You will have to battle some tough skeletons to obtain the silk, so make sure you have the appropriate level of gear or set up a camp nearby just in case things go south.

After successfully acquiring the silk, go to Everfall and look for a Survivalist called Odnell Lee. He will reward you with a special item that allows you to build Tier 2 campsites. After reaching the subsequent level milestones mentioned above, you will receive similar yet more challenging quests to further upgrade your camp in New World.

New World will be officially released on PC on August 31.
