Yesterday (April 2) was World Autism Awareness Day and comedian Nick Cannon felt it appropriate to share that his two-year-old son, Zillion, whom he shares with Abby De La Rosa, has been diagnosed with autism. They shared the news in an Instagram post showcasing their eventful Easter Sunday as Cannon dressed as the Easter Bunny to entertain the youngsters.
“Our amazing 2-year-old, Zillion, was recently diagnosed with ASD – joining the unique energy of others like Niko Telsa, Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Michael Angelo, just to name a few dynamic individuals,” De La Rosa wrote.
De La Rosa’s Heartfelt Instagram Message
“Our beautiful boy experiences life in 4D and teaches us something new everyday! His love, strength and brilliance light up every room he enters! We are blessed that God had placed such an amazing spirit under our guardianship and we have accepted this assignment wholeheartedly!”
Cannon, who can be credited with hosting The Nick Cannon Show, Wild ‘n Out, America’s Got Talent, Lip Sync Battle Shorties, and The Masked Singer, supposedly met De La Rosa in 2022. According to De La Rosa’s Instagram at the time, she met Cannon as “a personality on one of L.A. hottest hip hop station,” adding, “It was only right I took it to the 6th street bridge babyyyy.”
The couple share two twin sons and a daughter, born 2017 and 2020, respectively. Aside from his three with De La Rosa, Cannon has 12 children in total. Two of his children, fraternal twins, were born to his ex-wife Mariah Carey. He had three children—two sons and a daughter—with model Brittany Bell, a son (deceased) and a daughter with model Alyssa Scott, a son with model Bre Tiesi, and another daughter with model LaNisha Cole.
To round out the post, De La Rosa and Cannon wanted to “extend our embrace to families worldwide, acknowledging shared challenges and championing understanding. Together, let’s create a world of acceptance and compassion.”
