Nick Reiner has reportedly lost some of his jail privileges after allegedly becoming “extremely hostile” while being held at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in California.
Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, is accused of fatally stabbing both of his parents at their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home on December 14, 2025. Prosecutors have charged him with two counts of first-degree murder, along with a special circumstance allegation of multiple murders and an allegation that he personally used a knife in the killings. Reiner has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody without bail while awaiting trial. If convicted, he could face life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty, although prosecutors have not announced whether they intend to seek capital punishment.
According to People, Reiner allegedly became “extremely hostile” toward deputies while waiting to be escorted back to his cell after taking a shower. Sources told the publication that the incident occurred in April during his time at Twin Towers Correctional Facility. According to those sources, the situation escalated after Reiner became frustrated about the deputies’ absence.
“He was recalcitrant, extremely hostile, creating a verbal disturbance, refusing to follow rules and not listening to any commands. He was yelling, screaming, being disrespectful and shouting many profanities,” the sources told People. According to the report, some of Reiner’s alleged yelling and profanities were directed at a sheriff and a sergeant. A deputy ultimately called for backup, although the situation reportedly did not become physical.
Following the incident, Reiner was reportedly issued a disciplinary write-up. He lost several jail privileges for five days, including access to phone calls, visitation, and the commissary. The publication also reported that concerns have been raised about Reiner’s mental health. Sources have alleged that his condition has deteriorated while he has been in custody.
Fans React to Nick Reiner’s Incident in California Jail
Fans were quick to react to the reports of Nick Reiner’s alleged hostile behavior inside the California jail. Few commenters expressed sympathy, with many instead calling for harsher consequences. “Honestly just give bro the death penalty,” one person wrote. Another commenter said sarcastically, “Shocking that a murderer would be extremely hostile.”
Some commenters speculated that Reiner’s reported behavior could have been influenced by medication he was receiving while in custody. There has been no official confirmation of that. “Or hear me out, he is dealing with side effects on whatever prescribed medication they have him on,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “Not surprising given how stressful jail environments are, but being labeled ‘extremely hostile’ in the showers is going to make his time in there significantly harder. The discipline report will definitely impact his security classification.”
This recent incident has brought additional scrutiny to Nick Reiner’s conduct while he awaits trial. It has also prompted further discussion about the allegations against him. Despite this, the charges remain unproven, and his guilt has not been determined in court.
