Nicole Scherzinger has sparked concern on Instagram as fans shade her recent nod to singer Beyonce. The 45-year-old singer and The Masked Singer judge is just one of the many celebrities honoring Queen Bey’s newly-released Cowboy Carter country album on social media, but fans seeing Nicole’s footage weren’t too impressed.
Appearing embarrassed for Nicole as they took to the comments, fans called the Hawaii-set video “cringe,” with a popular remark even saying that Nicole is turning into Britney Spears. The 42-year-old pop singer has a long history of worrying her Instagram fans on the mental health front. Nicole has chosen not to respond to the remarks that also extended to allegations that she’s had plastic surgery.
Nicole Scherzinger Goes Full Texas On Instagram
Posting amid a scenic Hawaiian backdrop as she enjoyed a vacation to her home state, Nicole danced around to Beyonce’s hit “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” track, putting her all into the former Destiny Child singer’s latest music.
Showing off her fit frame as she rocked a white bandeau top paired with denim Daisy Dukes and a wrap-a-round skirt, Nicole kept her look colorful as she sang along to the lyrics while exaggerating her fun grimaces. Her many necklaces and straw cowboy hat only added to the cowgirl theme as she kept her bohemian outfit country.
Smiling and waving her arms around as she shook her hips from steps backing onto ocean waters, Nicole wrote: “This ain’t Texas… this Hawai’i [sic].”
Fans Think It’s ‘Cringe’
Editing her caption to put her own twist on the lyrics, Nicole continued: “Local version: 🌅🌴
This ain’t Texas (wooo) it’s Hawai’i(hey), so lay yo worries down, down, down, down. Watch the sunset (wooo) , dance the hula (hey), sing around, ‘round ‘round…”
“Omg not this stupid song again,” one fan replied. “She used be to so beautiful but i don’t know what is happening to her now,” another said. While a third fan replied: “Cringe,” a further user gained likes for comparing Nicole to pop star Britney. “Nicole is entering her Britney Spears era,” the comment read. Singer Britney is known for delivering often bizarre, home-set dances, ones that have made endless headlines as fans express concern for the bipolar star.
That said, some fans felt that Nicole should be able to express herself however she wishes. “Why can’t a woman post herself being happy?” one asked.
Also shouting out their Beyhive love on Instagram amid Beyonce’s latest release have been stars including SKIMS mogul Kim Kardashian and MCU actress Salma Hayek. Nicole did gain over 240,000 likes for her video, including one from model Carmen Electra.
